Bluesy Rock and Roll. Jan James was voted "Best Female Vocalist" by the Detroit Metro Times before she left her hometown for Chicago. Since coming to the Windy City, she's opened for artists like Koko Taylor, B.B. King, The Divinyls, The Bon Jovi, Albert Collins, and Little Feat, and performed at venues like the Peridiso in Amsterdam and the Fomula One Grand Prix in Detriot. People have likened her to Sheryl Crowe, Aretha Franklin, and Tina Turner.
