Pottiffer's Penny

Pottiffer's Penny is a 3 piece unsigned hard rock band from Yorkville, Illinois, a small town 40 miles west of Chicago. The sound of the band is often described as "Undefined". 6 years in the making, Pottiffer's Penny has grown into a stong live act, culitvating a cult-like following and a growing reputation amongst musicians and fans alike, playing venues all over Illinois, as well as it's surrounding states.. From bars to clubs to venues to festivals to parties to colleges and high schools, there is no gig too big, or too small for the band. Venues played include U.S Beer Company and Wild hare in Chicago, Penny Road Pub in Barrington, Canopy Club in Champaign, Rockhouse Grill in Rolling Meadows, Oasis 160 in Chicago Heights, Northern Illinois Universtiy in Dekalb, Klub Phenomenon in Freeport, as well as Rockhouse USA in Aurora, where Pottiffer's Penny has the 2nd highest draw in the venue's history. Pottiffer's Penny has teamed up with a number of bands to do shows with including Left Setter, Blackmaker, Premium, Wish, The Dog and Everything, Swizzle Tree, Saraphine, Ophur, Sad Eyed Angel,Blaked, Facet, Current, and ASA. Radio Stations all over America, have given P.P great critical aclaim as well as support and airplay, including WONC in Naperville, and WSIA in New York City. While currently recording their 3rd release, the band has distributed over 3000 copies of their 5 song demo, and their newest E.P, "Crippled March" through local record stores and live shows. 2002 is shaping up to be busy year for the band, with gigs all over the state and beyond..With a tentative release for the next e.p due out in summer, the band still actively seeks managemnt, and label representation.. Staying true to their sound, the band prides itself on making original music that speaks for the underdogs...and not folding to the pressure of making mainstream music..Too heavy to be considered metal, and not light enough to be pop, Pottiffer's Penny is proud to be "undefined".
